The following book history organisations and sites may be of interest -

The Society for the History of Authorship, Reading & Publishing (SHARP) at the University of Indiana is a pre-eminent group, with a large range of pointers to academic research, archives and other information.

The Australian Defence Force Academy hosts the History of the Book in Australia (HBA) site.

The UK Centre for the History of the Book (CHB) is more comprehensive than the rival Book Information Website (BIW), History of the Book Online (HoBO) and the anaemic Center For the Book (cfbook) at the Library of Congress. 

Cambridge University Press is currently releasing a multi-volume History of the Book In Britain and a separate series on A History of the Book in America.  

In Australia the University of Queensland Press is currently publishing A History of the Book in Australia in three volumes.
