David Lindsay's 2004 PLPR article Whose WHOIS privacy?: The Nominet case considers the Federal Court decision in Nominet UK v Diverse Internet Pty Ltd [2004] FCA 1244.

That case, discussed earlier in this profile, featured remedies available when an Australian entity used personal data sourced from overseas regarding domain name holders. It illustrated use of copyright and fair trading law to protect registrant privacy.
